Real Techniques Miracle Mini Eraser Sponges

A couple of days ago I popped into Superdrug and I saw that they had the new Real Techniques mini
sponges and I just had to pick up some to try.

The sponges come in a pack of two (I will be giving one to my mum to try) and cost only £4.49 which I thought was an absolute bargain!

The sponges are purple to match the rest of the Real Techniques eye tools, I also finally understood why the miracle complexion sponge is orange. When I first took the sponges out of the packaging I was surprised by how soft they were but also how tiny they were, I would have a hard time finding them if I were to lose them.

The sponge is very similar to the miracle complexion sponge in its shape. It features a flat edges which can be used to 'erase flaking mascara and eye shadow fallout', rounded sides which can be used to blend in concealer where the bigger sponge could not always fit (under the eyes and around the nose) and also a tip for more precise sweeping..

When damp the sponge becomes much softer and squishier and grows to almost double its size, however it is still appears to be small enough to fit under the eye as it is not quite as big as the standard makeup sponge.

When using the sponge to blend concealer under the eye I wasn't as impressed as I had hoped to be, although it did provide a smooth and slightly more even coverage it wasn't that much better than the foundation brush that I would normally use. I also found that even the pointed surface of the sponge was still too big to fit into the inner corner of my eye.

In conclusion the sponge works fine but I don't believe it is the best way to blend concealer for a good coverage, I do however feel that it is good for blending out the edge of concealer for a more natural finish if you do not wish to wear a full face of makeup. For me personally I would not say that the sponge is a necessity and will probably not repurchase in the future, but that is not to say it wouldn't work well for someone else and for the price it is well worth a try.

I hope you enjoyed this a post, as always a follow would be greatly appreciated.
