Our trip to London

My boyfriend and I went on our first little holiday together to London in the beginning of August. We stayed for three nights in Covent Garden, I absolutely loved it and hope to return next summer. I had never been to London before so it was a completely new experience for me.

Day 1:
The morning of day one was spent traveling. We decided to take the coach rather than the train as it was much cheaper and used the money we saved to stay for an extra night. The coach took around 3 hours and time was mostly spent reading and listening to music (we only listened to Blink 182's new album because it was the only thing we had downloaded from Spotify).
When we arrived at Victoria Coach Station we made the decision to walk to the hotel which, although it was very tiring, allowed us to see some sights.
When we arrived at the hotel naps were had to ensure that we were awake enough for the show we had booked for the evening.
We went to see The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-Time at the Gielgud Theatre, the theatre was beautiful and the show itself did not disappoint and was enjoyed by both of us. After the show we went on to explore Piccadilly Circus.

Day 2:
The second day was spent doing typical touristy things. We were out the door before 9am which meant that we were able to go out for a proper breakfast. We decided on waffles from Ed's Easy Diner. After we had finished our food we went on the London Eye River Cruise, this was probably my favourite attraction as not only were the photo opportunities great but the host was very entertaining full of interesting facts. The rest of the afternoon was spent walking and stumbling across other sights including Buckingham Palace, St Jame's Park and Downing Street. Later on we went on the London Eye which was an obvious must, despite the long queues it was well worth it as the views over London were stunning.

Day 3:
For day three we decided to venture over to the other part of London to see Tower Bridge. We spent about an hour walking around trying to decide on where to go for lunch we settled for a Greggs meal deal. We ate our lunch with views of Tower Bridge and the Shard which is my favourite building in London (I hope to one day experience The View from the Shard). We took the scenic route back to where we were staying which took us past Shakespeare's Globe and ITV's This Morning studio. We then took a trip to Oxford Street but both of us were far too tired to do any shopping. In the evening we went for a meal at Planet Hollywood before visiting Ripley's Believe It or Not! which was a nice and relaxed way to end the trip, followed by drinks in the hotel.

On day 4 it was unfortunately time to head back to the coach station to return home.
I hope you enjoyed my first blog post, if you would like to stick around a follow would be greatly appreciated.
